  • 5 cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 10 ounces caramels (unwrapped)
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 5 tablespoons butter (for caramel)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 6 ounces milk chocolate chips
  • Sea salt (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Melt 5 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add vegan marshmallows and stir until smooth. Mix in vanilla extract.
  3. In another saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, 5 tablespoons of butter, and unwrapped caramels. Stir over medium heat until melted and smooth.
  4. Pour the caramel mixture over the Rice Krispie base, spreading evenly. Sprinkle sea salt on top.
  5. Heat heavy cream until bubbling; pour over chocolate chips in a bowl and stir until smooth. Drizzle over the caramel layer and sprinkle more sea salt.
