  • 2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Fresh Thyme
  • 2 tbsps Fresh Rosemary, chopped
  • 1 Red Onion, sliced
  • 12 Honeycrisp Apples, sliced
  • 4 tbsps Salted Butter
  • 3/4 cup Apple Cider
  • 1/2 cup Chicken Broth or white grape juice
  • 2 tbsps Dijon Mustard
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Season chicken thighs with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, thyme, and chopped rosemary.
  3. In an oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken thighs skin-side down until golden brown.
  4. Add sliced red onions and apples around the chicken in the skillet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  6. For the sauce, combine butter, apple cider, chicken broth (or white grape juice), Dijon mustard, and minced garlic in the skillet after removing the chicken.
  7. Whisk until slightly thickened and return chicken and apples to the pan before serving.
