  • Fine semolina, for dusting
  • 1 recipe Naples-style pizza sauce
  • 1 lb. fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced
  • 16 fresh basil leaves
  • Olive oil, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven with a pizza stone under the broiler for about 30 minutes.
  2. Dust one ball of dough with semolina and stretch it into a circle about 10 inches wide.
  3. Transfer the dough to a semolina-dusted peel. Spread half a cup of sauce over the base.
  4. Layer half of the mozzarella slices and half of the basil leaves on top, then drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Slide the pizza onto the hot stone and broil for 3-4 minutes until golden and bubbly.
