  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp instant dry yeast
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup crushed Oreos
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for dough)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for filling)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk until lukewarm, then mix it with granulated sugar and yeast; let it sit until frothy.
  2. In a stand mixer bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add the yeast mixture along with the egg and softened butter.
  3. Knead the dough on low speed until smooth and elastic; add more flour if necessary.
  4. Place in a greased bowl to rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle; spread butter over it and sprinkle crushed Oreos and brown sugar mixed with cocoa powder.
  6. Roll tightly into a log and cut into equal pieces; place in a greased baking dish.
  7. Let rise again for about 30 minutes; preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake for approximately 26 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Mix powdered sugar with milk and vanilla extract for the glaze; drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
