  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup water, divided
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, ginger, orange zest, and half of the water.
  2. Mix cornstarch with the remaining water until smooth; stir into the sauce.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Cook the ground turkey until browned (5–7 minutes).
  4. Add diced onion and sauté for 2 minutes before adding broccoli and carrots. Cook until tender-crisp (5–7 minutes).
  5. Pour teriyaki sauce over turkey and veggies; cook for an additional 3–5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Season to taste with salt and pepper before serving over rice or noodles.
