Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 34 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 23 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 810 cranks freshly-ground black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add broccoli florets and sauté for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Remove from pan.
  2. In the same skillet, add ground beef and minced garlic. Cook for 5-6 minutes until browned, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. While the beef cooks, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ground ginger, red pepper flakes, and black pepper in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Pour the sauce over the browned beef and cook for another 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Add back the broccoli and toss everything together.
  5. Season with salt to taste and serve immediately over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
