Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples by slicing them into wedges about 1/2 inch thick, removing the core and seeds.
  2. In three separate bowls, set up your breading station: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  3. Dredge each apple wedge in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumbs.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
  5. Arrange the coated apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, lightly spraying them with cooking spray.
  6. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  7. Serve warm topped with remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture alongside dipping sauces.
