  • 2 packets Fleischmann's RapidRise® Yeast
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg or substitute
  • 3 tablespoons softened butter
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • â…“ cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup hazelnut spread (such as Nutella)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • Milk (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your baking pan by buttering a 9×13 inch dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of flour, cocoa powder, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  3. Heat water and butter until melted; let cool slightly before adding to dry ingredients along with the egg.
  4. Gradually mix in more flour until the dough forms a ball; knead for 4-6 minutes.
  5. Let dough rise covered for 10 minutes.
  6. Roll out into a rectangle, spread with butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.
  7. Roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 pieces.
  8. Place rolls cut-side down in prepared pan; let rise until doubled in size (about an hour).
