Scale
  • 2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup finely diced onions
  • ½ cup finely diced celery
  • ½ cup finely diced carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • ½ cup half-and-half

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a pot, simmer chicken broth and cook chicken until fully cooked, about 15 minutes. Remove and shred.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onions, celery, and carrots until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, and sage; cook for another minute.
  4. Sprinkle flour into the skillet while stirring; gradually add half-and-half, crumbling in bouillon cube and mixing well.
  5. Add shredded chicken and frozen peas to the sauce mixture; stir until combined.
  6. Transfer filling to a baking dish or cast iron skillet; top with biscuit dough. Bake according to biscuit instructions or until golden brown.
