3 pounds split chicken wings
2 tablespoons baking powder
3 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
2 tablespoons vegan butter
1/4 cup hot sauce (e.g., Crystal's)
1 tablespoon coconut aminos
Freshly chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with foil; place a wire rack on top.
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
In a bowl, mix the baking powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, cayenne pepper, and thyme. Toss the wings in this seasoning until evenly coated.
Arrange the wings skin side up on the wire rack without overcrowding.
Bake for 20 minutes, flip them over and bake for another 20 minutes. Finally, flip back to skin side up and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until crispy.
For the sauce: melt vegan butter in a saucepan and stir in hot sauce and coconut aminos. Simmer for five minutes.
