  • 400 g / 1 lbs beef mince
  • ½ cup scallion/spring onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ tbsp fresh ginger (minced)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice apple vinegar
  • ½ tsp dark brown sugar
  • â…› tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp rice apple vinegar (for dipping sauce)
  • 1 tsp soy sauce (for dipping sauce)
  • â…› tsp sesame oil (for dipping sauce)
  • 1 tsp dark brown sugar (for dipping sauce)
  • ¼ tsp ginger (for dipping sauce)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling by mixing ground beef, chopped scallions, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, rice apple vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, salt, and white pepper in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Place about a teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold to seal tightly.
  3. Cook the wontons by boiling in gently simmering water for 5-6 minutes or steaming for 8-10 minutes until they float.
  4. For dipping sauce, mix rice apple vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and minced ginger together in a small bowl.
  5. Serve hot with dipping sauce on the side.
