  • ½ cup dark brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • 3 oz dark chocolate bar, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch.
  2. In a stand mixer, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients on low speed until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently using a spatula.
  6. Chill the dough for at least one hour or up to 24 hours.
